50th Anniversary: Three-Point Seat Belt

The Swedish engineer Nils Bohlin is credited with inventing the three-point seat belt restraint in 1959 while working at Volvo. The Volvo PV544 was the first car delivered to a dealer with a three-point seat belt and today three-point restraints are standard on most cars around the world.
