Failure Analysis

Failure analysis, or root cause determination, involves the scientific investigation of engineering failures of equipment or product malfunctions. This often involves injury and property damage allegedly caused by products or machines. Failure analysis can involve examining fatigue cracks, corrosion, environmental stress, and so forth.
