Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) is the set of standards used by professionals nationwide to install traffic control devices and also maintain traffic control devices on all the streets, highways, bikeways, and private roads used by the public. The MUTCD is published by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) under 23 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 655, Subpart F.
