Mr. Lane is a registered Professional Engineer with over 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering, automotive design, and manufacturing. Mr. Lane worked with the General Motors Corporation on a number of high profile projects including Engine Sealability and the Turbocharger Design Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a Master of Science degree in applied statistics from Oakland University.

Mr. Lane is a member of SAE International and has extensive academic and professional background in areas of automotive design, manufacturing, failure analysis, casting, metal stamping, thermal set and thermal plastic components, elastomerics, and static and dynamic seals. In addition to initial design failure mode analysis, he was responsible for problem resolution at General Motors facilities as well as multiple supplier plants.
